We visited this restaurant on 19th April 2023, on our last day in the village. 13 euros for an all inclusive lunch menu, minimal choice, just right. The place is super clean, the lunch area is spacious, very luminous and the decor simple and smart, Brasserie style. The staff was very welcoming and everything was delicious, the beef excellent with the cheesy Cabralese sauce and the bottle of red house wine. Nothing to complain about. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Lovely place that is filled with locals and tourists alike. It was very full when we arrived and the lovely lady told us to wait for 10min and she got as a table as soon as it was available. The service was very efficient and the food was lovely. Protions are generous and we even got a menu in English, after they figured out our limited Spanish.

Really enjoyed the dinner we had here, for me was much better than the 4.1 review that is listed when we went! Very good value meal (mains around 12-15 euro), super tasty and filling after a day trekking. The service was very friendly and they have an English menu! Had the cachopo which I can definitely recommend We enjoyed the meal so much that we went again for breakfast the next day, again good value menu with light breakfast and coffee for 3-5 euro!

Las Arenas boasts several restaurants, and to my surprise, they were all packed, with long waiting lines spilling out into the streets. Having just arrived in the village without a reservation, I found myself turned away by a few places. Eventually, I made my way to Santelmo, which was just as bustling as the rest. Luckily, I snagged a spot at the bar—and what a memorable experience it turned out to be. I ordered the house wine, a local specialty, and a steak that caught my eye as my bar neighbor was devouring it with his hands, savoring every bite and licking his fingers with satisfaction. When my steak arrived, I understood why. Perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, it was tender, juicy, and full of rich, smoky goodness. Despite the hectic atmosphere, the service was commendable—attentive and friendly, even with the restaurant buzzing with activity. The staff managed to keep things running smoothly, which only added to the overall experience. Whether you're in for a glass of wine or a hearty meal, Santelmo is worth the wait.
